You can still get in on the crawfish boil this Saturday, May 5, 2012, at the American Legion Post 354, off Robious Road, Midlothian, Va. 
Drive ins are welcome.   Price at the gate will be $50 for adults, $10 for teens and children (12 and under) free.  Please have your entrance fee ready in cash or by check (made payable to Central VA LSU ).  Serving will begin at noon but come early and help set, watch the cooks and play some games.  

All proceeds from the boil are dedicated to our scholarship, The Luke Bashore Memorial Scholarship, which assists central Virginia students attending LSU.  (As of this year, no one has applied for this scholarship.  We are always looking for students who wish to attend LSU.  So spread the word.  Application can be found on the web site.) 


Representatives will be here from LSU with official merchandise for sale.  Be sure to visit with Trudi and Emily.  Let them know how much we appreciate their coming with merchandise.   We will also have door prizes and a T-Shirt quilt to raffle.  Chances for the quilt are $5 each, 3 for $10 or 6 for $20.  Exact change or check will be appreciated.  There will be items for auction.  Gary Shaw will again be our auctioneer.  He did such an outstanding job last year.  And he will again be supplying the music during the feast. 

This year we will have crawfish, corn, potoatoes, JAMBALAYA, and hot dogs.  You can eat until the supply runs out.  Bring your own beverages, dipping sauce, chairs, canopies, etc.   We will have the corn hole toss game again.  If you have a game to share, please bring it.   Bill Bagley has the recipe for Murphy's Jambalaya and will be making it for us.  We all really missed it last year.

So bring your own beer, sodas, etc.  There will be a limited supply of  soda and water for purchase.
